COUNSELOR KIM

Kim Kardashian West is studying law. The story first broke in American Vogue alongside her first solo cover for the magazine and a very family-orientated 73 Questions.

The news may come as a surprise to her fans who are used to seeing the KUWTK star posting selfies or promoting contour kits. It is not far out of left field as her father, the late Robert George Kardashian, was an attorney who famously defended OJ Simpson in his 1995 murder trial:

This is not Kim's first foray into law. She notably met with President Donald Trump to aid in the release of Alice Marie Johnson, a 63 year old woman who had been in an Alabama prison since 1996 on a non-violent drug charge. The meeting proved successful as Alice was offered clemency by the President soon afterwards.

The star has proved her legal prowess. Some are sceptical still with the 38 year old revealing in an Instagram post the negative comments she has received, such as 'it's my privilege or money that got me here' or 'I should "stay in my lane"'. The mother of three was quick to fire back with 'nothing should limit the pursuit of your dreams, and the accomplishment of new goals. You can create your own lanes, just as I am' and 'For anyone assuming this is the easy way out, it's not. My weekends are spent away from my kids while I read and study.'
