Kim Kardashian West has revealed the name of her fourth child via surrogate to her 138m Instagram followers three hours ago with a touching message and photo from Kanye:
'Beautiful Mother's Day
With the arrival of our fourth child
We are blessed beyond measure
We have everything we need'
were the I Love It rapper's words alongside a photo of Psalm fast asleep in his cot. The new arrival joins North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, fifteen months, as the ever expanding brood to the famous duo. Kim has only just been in the press regarding her jaw dripping Met Gala ensemble (read my post
Met Madness) and the revelation that she is studying law (read my post
Counselor Kim). The media have now latched onto this latest Kardashian West offering with the
MailOnline being one of the first to break the story and
The Mirror and
The Sun following swiftly behind. Instagram was just as busy sharing the new baby name...
Fans were also quick to react with the general consensus being that they like the new moniker...
There were of course a few that couldn't help but be hilarious...
Psalm has clear biblical connotation, not unusual for a couple who named their previous son Saint. The KUWTK star is also Christian whilst Kanye's Sunday Service invites fans and an all-star congregation to sing gospel versions of his songs. Meaning sacred hymn, Psalms or The Book of Psalms, is the third section of the Hebrew Bible, presented as a musical anthology of praise and wisdom, and thus a book of the Old Testament.
While one baby is born, another cat dies. Today it was also revealed that Grumpy Cat, the famous feline with the moodiest stare, has passed away at the tender age of seven due to
complications from a recent urinary tract infection. I am a huge cat lover (more on this in another post) so this news made me rather sad. Born in Arizona in 2012, Grumpy Cat (real name Tardar Sauce) shot to fame when a photograph of her posted on social news site Reddit became viral. She went on to be the go-to cynical internet meme, appear in her own film, meet Stan Lee and amass a social media following of over ten million. Loved around the world for her grumpy face which spawned numerous bored and sarcastic memes, she is sure to be massively missed. Rest in peace Grumpy Cat, I am sure you are much happier in heaven now.
